Family Resource Centers

Supports local families linking them with resources to address their needs thereby creating healthy families and healthy communities.

The Family Resource Centers served 3941 unduplicated families through:

• Information, Referral, Linkages: 1455
• Basic Need Solano Youth Connection: 64 Families and 142 Children were supported through the financial assistance program.
• Distributed 124 First 5 Solano family child development education kits to Vallejo families with children 0-5.
• Case Managed 183 Families.

• This last Christmas we were able to serve 432 families including 1,251 children with toys, clothes, food and books.
• The Earned Income Tax program filed 2009 taxes for 108 Vallejo families.
• Outreach to 300 youth and 89 adults for Red Ribbon week for substance abuse prevention.
• 122 children in lending library service.
• Served 185 children with 5 Health related screening events.
• Conducted 26 educational classes, workshops and groups for 155 parents.
