Neighborhood Revitalization 2009
Identify and work with specific neighborhoods for up to 18 months addressing code violations, drug problems, trash and abandoned cars and building neighborhood block groups to take back their neighborhoods.
The Neighborhood Revitalization program has completed the revitalization in Millervile, completing our eight step process. The neighborhood has improved significantly over the past two years. Residents have stepped up and created the Millerville Neighborhood Association. The residents report safer, cleaner, and physically improved neighborhood. They also report an improved quality of living resulting from a sense of pride in their neighborhood as a result of getting to know their neighbors better and having a common understanding and goals for the area.

Country Club Crest Clean-Up Tony Pearsall & Congressman George Miller
We have held four large clean-ups in the Country Club Crest removing several tons of trash from the neighborhood. We have also worked with residents and the City of Vallejo to improve the physical appearance of the neighborhood.
We were able to get street lights repaired, repave several streets and petition for speed bumps in the area.
We are currently working with residents to create a strong block watch group.
On November 1, 2009, we began working in Delta Meadows, we began “knock and talks” at each residence to better understand the issues facing the resident as an individual and the neighborhood as a whole and seek resident ideas about their solutions.
