YP offered three internship terms with four students in the Spring, two students in the Summer, and four students in the Fall.

In June, YP collaborated with the Vallejo Police Department to conduct decoy stings at 49 different retailers in Vallejo to help reduce the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors.

Throughout the year, YP aided the Vallejo Alcohol and Tobacco Policy Coalition to convince City Council to develop a tobacco retail licensing ordinance that will increase the capacity of the Vallejo Police Department to hold tobacco retailers accountable to being responsible neighbors. YP conducted a public opinion survey to demonstrate public support for such an ordinance and provided speakers to present at a City Council Meeting.
