2009 Al Fleming Scholarship Awarded

Fighting Back Partnership was very pleased to award the $2,000 Al Fleming Scholarship to Leo Morazan.

The selection committee felt that Leo had shown that he was a potential leader in the community and that he had made a commitment to improving the quality of life for the under served in our society, qualities which defined Al Fleming's life.

Leo attended the Helping Americas Youth Conference lead by first lady Laura Bush. He was an active member of Families and Schools Together, Youth Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program, Project Token, Sex Advocate for Everyone. He was a Not On Tobacco Youth Counselor and worked on the Vallejo Outreach Event.

Leo will be attending Sacramento State College this fall and we look forward to seeing great things in his future.
