20th Anniversary Dinner

Fighting Back Partnership had one of the most successful events in its history at the 20th Anniversary Dinner
on October 2, 2010 in Building #680 on Mare Island Naval Shipyard. Board of Director Suzanne Harrington-Cole
was the “worker-bee” who helped put this great event together. 125 people attended this outstanding dinner
that convinced everyone that we have been one of the most successful non-profit organizations in the history
of Vallejo. The event started out with a fabulous show from Vallejo’s Dance Unlimited and then a wonderful
dinner from Alex’s Catering.

The keynote speaker for the evening was Congressman George Miller who congratulated Fighting Back
Partnership for doing an amazing job representing social service agencies that has shown tremendous
accomplishments in its 20 year history. Congressman Miller was also thanked for his support over the
last 7 years for the Family and Schools Together Program. We have received seven Earmark Grants from
Congressman Miller for that program.

Fighting Back's Board of Directors          Mayor Davis and Board President Rosemary Thurston

Another highlight of the evening was the special recognition certificate presented to Kathy Hoffman by the
Fighting Back Partnership Board of Directors for her continuing support to our organization. Lastly, Fighting Back
Partnership received Proclamations and Resolutions from Congressman George Miller, State Senator Pat Wiggins,
State Assemblywoman Noreen Evans, County Supervisor Linda Seifert representing the Solano County Board of
Supervisor and from Mayor Osby Davis representing Vallejo.
